... and microcontroller projects
I have been a Secondary School Teacher for the Victorian Education Department for over 50 years. For over 20 years teaching Robotics and Microcontrollers, as a Technology Teacher. I have proudly had over 3,000 students build a microcontroller and proudly take home their own designed working model, that they have built, programmed and Coded. I have also run Workshops (see Workshops/Presentations below) for over 1,200 teachers, around Australia. In that time, I have been honoured to have received 8, International, Australian State & Territory, Victorian and Regional Teacher of the Year, Innovative Teacher, Educator of the Year etc. I am an Honarary Lifetime Member of DATTA Vic (Design and Technology Teachers Association of Victoria). For this reason, I am trying to set up this Website to help share some of my many project documents, “How to Build”, “How to Code”, "Videos", "Photos" etc. using Picaxe for the first 16 years, Arduino for the last 4 years and more recently Microbit and Makey Makey Microcontrollers. I have also included below some of my Laser Projects ( over 2,000 ) which are distributed in Australia and over 12 countries around the World (see Laser Projects below). I also helped run a "Getting started with Arduino" monthly event at the Yarra Plenty Regional Library, in Watsonia, for two years before Covid.This site will always be a work in progress as I add documents and files. If wanting to program your Project, copy the relevant Code and paste it, into the Picaxe Programming Editor (PPE) for Picaxe (in BASIC language), the Arduino Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for Arduino (in C++ Language) or for microbit using Microsoft Makecode (Blocks or Javascript).
